Jean Frances Hickerson, 86, of McConnelsville, passed away at 12:45 a.m. Monday, Oct. 21, 2013, at her home.

She was born December 31,1926, in Coshocton County, to the late Howard Hartley and Laura Smith Hartley.

Mrs. Hickerson was a homemaker and was a member of the Pennsville Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Elton C. Hickerson; two daughters, Carol (Leo) Pierce of Cortland and Naomi (Dean) Wright of McConnelsville; a son, Danny (Vicky) Hickerson of Pennsville; nine grandchildren, Jen Wright, Kristin Campbell, Michael Wright, Lonnie Pierce, Angela Hoskinson, Gabriel Hickerson, Casey Hickerson, Amy Hickerson, and Emily Noel Hickerson; six great-grandchildren, Braydon and Cameron Hoskinson, Carley Wright, Adisyn Hoskinson, Chase and Pierce Campbell; two sisters, her twin sister, Irene Mills of Zanesville and Pauline Garber of Wooster; two brothers, Robert "Bob" Hartley of Wooster and Harold Hartley of Duncan Falls.

* In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Evelyn Ilene Hartley, Marjorie Fouty, Lucille Greuey, and Betty Gianotto; and a brother, Cecil Hartley.

Calling hours will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville and from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 25, at the Pennsville Church of Christ, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. with Evang. Sam Bartrug officiating.

She will be laid to rest in Pennsville Cemetery.
