Jerry Lee Apperson, 71, of McConnelsville, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2020 at the Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus.  He was born on November 25, 1948 in Zanesville to the late Lester Lyle and Carmelitta Cline Apperson.  He was the owner of Apperson Brothers Plumbing, Heating and Cooling in McConnelsville.  He is survived by a brother Dick Apperson of McConnelsville, 2 sisters, Connie Welch and Judy Rutter both of McConnelsville, several nieces and nephews and his dog Rascal.  He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Trudy Massey and a nephew Shane McGrew.  Services will be held on Monday, Oct 19, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville with burial following in the Pisgah Cemetery.  A visitation will be held on Sunday, Oct 18 from 5-7 P.M.  To send a note of condolence to the family go to www.matheneyfh.com.
