Obituary

Jerry C. Lemon, Jr., 51, of Malta, passed away Monday, July 6, 2015, at the Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus following a motorcycle accident near his home in Malta.

He was born Dec. 9, 1963, in Zanesville, to Jerry C. Lemon, Sr. and Mildred Nichols Lemon.

Jerry was a mechanic and had worked as a machinist at Miba Bearings in McConnelsville. He served in the U.S. Army for two years and the National Guard for four years.

He is survived by a daughter, Deidre Lemon of McConnelsville; a son, Clinton Lemon of Malta; his mother, Mildred Nichols Lemon of Malta; two grandsons, Riley and Reese Maggert of Malta; four sisters, Rhonda (Jeff) Carpenter of Zanesville, Kim (Rusty) North of Malta, Angela (Frank) Lemon of McConnelsville, and Janice (Todd) Himler of Beverly; a brother, Roger (Jessica) Lemon of Malta; former wife and close friend, Teresa Lemon of McConnelsville; and a close friend, Tim Wiseman of Malta.

In addition to his father, Jerry C. Lemon, Sr.; he was preceded in death by a son, Derek Lemon; paternal grandparents; and maternal grandparents.

Calling hours will be Saturday, July 11, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. with Pastor Charlie Mollohan officiating.

Jerry will be laid to rest next to his father in Zion Cemetery in Portersville.

Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post 24 Color Guard.
