Jerry Roger Wells, 64, of Stockport, died Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 6:35 A.M. He was born on December 20, 1946 in Stockport to the late Harold and Ida Baker Wells. He was a shipping and receiving clerk at Miba Bearings in McConnelsville and attended the Malta Christian Bible Church in Malta. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Linda Gheen Wells of the home, one son J.R. (Jessica) Wells of Stockport, three daughters, Brenda (Roger) Junn of Malta, Tonja Dille of Byesville, and Darlene Copeland of McConnelsville, one step-brother, Stanley Wells of Pleasant City, one sister, Vicky (Larry) Gorrel of Pennsville, eight grandchildren, Matthew, Janie and Joanie Junn, Michael and Trista Dille, Kasey Wells, Brik Bloomfield and Cassie Copeland, and one precious great granddaughter, Isabel Leann Clawson. He was preceded in death by his parents, one half-brother, Frank Wells, and one half-sister, Jean Dailey. Services will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at 7:00 P.M. with Rev. Tony Caito and Pastor Mike Wells officiating. Friends may call on the family on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 from 5-7 P.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
