JoAnne Rider White, 70, of McConnelsville, passed away on Thur. Aug 23, 2018 at her residence. She was born on May 4, 1948 in Milan, In to the late Harold and Anna Wilbur Rider. She retired from the Ohio Dept. of Transportation where she worked as a highway laborer. She attended the Main Street Church of Christ in McConnelsville and was a member of the Eagles #2187 in McConnelsville, V.F.W. Ladies Aux #4713 in Malta, Patriot Pals and loved to play Bingo. She is survived by 2 sons, Bobby (Misty) White of Malta and James White of McConnelsville, daughter, Jill (Shawn) Dale of Zanesville, 3 brothers, James Rider of Markland, In, Johnny Rider of Florence, In, and J.C. Rider of Florence, In, 3 sisters, Joyce Hoskins of Carrolton, Ky, Jackie Wehner of Madison, In and Barbara Chilton of Milton Ky, 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband George Robert "Bob" White and a grandson, Christopher Border. Services will be held on Tues. Aug. 28, at 11:00 A.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville. Burial will follow in the McConnelsville Cemetery. Friends may call on the family on Monday, Aug. 27 from 6-8 P.M.
