Joe Cain, Jr., 79, of Stockport passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at his home with his family by his side. He was born April 9, 1944 in Stockport a son of the late, Joseph Cain, Sr. and Vera Rogers Cain. Joe worked as an electrician for the former Gould Corporation of McConnelsville. He was a U. S. Army veteran and served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Webb Lodge #252 F. & A.M. of  Stockport, the Lakeside Riding Club, and the VFW Post #4713 of Malta. He attended the Chesterhill Church of Christ and was a volunteer driver of the DAV van for 8 years. Joe was a graduate of Hocking College with a degree in heavy equipment. He enjoyed hunting, fishing,  horses, playing cards and going to auctions. Joe is survived by his wife of 56 years, Phyllis Kincaid Cain; a daughter, Elizabeth Cain and Bob Reed of  Stockport; two sons, Jeff Cain and Jon Cain both of Stockport; three grandchildren, Miranda Cain of Lancaster, McKenzie Cain and Matthew Cain both of Stockport; a sister, Carol (Fred) Morris of McConnelsville; and a brother, Carlos Cain of McConnelsville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Cain. Calling hours will be Monday, February 19, 2024 from 12-2 p.m. at Miller-Huck Funeral Home. A funeral service will  be held at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Galen Finley officiating.
