Joe M. Woodward, 69, of Pennsville, died Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at 7:00 P.M. at his residence. He was born on November 29, 1941 in Findlay, Ohio to the late Ithel and Leata Cattell Woodward. He owned and operated the Woodward Feed Store in McConnelsville after working for CountryMark in Fostoria Ohio and attended the Pennsville United Methodist Church. He was a former deputy Sheriff for Hancock County. He is survived by two daughters, Darla (Ray) Barnes and Debra Jo Kuhn both of Xenia, two brothers, James Woodward of Findlay, Ohio and Jerry Woodward of Texas, one granddaughter, Mackenzie Kuhn and one grandson, Bryce Kuhn. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Martha Ball Woodward. Services will be held on Monday, October 10, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville, Ohio with burial following in the Pennsville Cemetery. Friends may call on the family from 11-1 P.M. on the day of the funeral. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Joe Woodward Memorial Fund C/O Darla Barnes through the funeral home.
