John L. Blind, age 67, of Waterford, Ohio, died at 6:05 p.m. on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born on July 20, 1950, in Marietta, a son of the late Ralph and Evelyn Waite Blind. John retired from Burkhart Trucking and Excavating in Lowell, Ohio as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He attended the Dale United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mary Kuhn Blind of the home, 1 son: Robert Blind, 1 daughter: Pam Noland, both of Waterford; 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; 2 brothers: Fred (Karen) Blind and Phil (Doris) Blind both of Stockport; 2 sisters: Jan (Larry) Allman of Stockport, Tammy (Ed) Martin of Waterford, and several nieces and nephews. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Jennifer Blind Morris, and 2 great grandchildren: Colton Dille and Angel Ray Blind. Services will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Dale Church with Pastor Dean Blackburn officiating. Friends may call at the Church from 11:00a.m. until service time.
