John D. "Jack" Burkhard, 70, of Stockport, passed away on Fri, Oct. 7, 2022 at the Highland Oaks Nursing Home in McConnelsville, He was born on Jan. 29, 1952 in Elyria to the late David and Virginia Stroup Burkhard.  He worked as a Contractor doing carpentry work and served his country in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam war.  He is survived by a son, Scott (Kim) Fleischhauer, 2 daughters, Heather (Christian) Sinnott and Jade (Mike) LaFlamme, 2 brothers, David Burkhard and Ken Burkhard and his beloved grandchildren, Hayley, Collin, Logan, Ethan, Chase, Sadie, Molly and Mila.  He is preceded in death by his parents.  A caring cremation is taking place at his request.  Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville is handling the arrangements.
