John P. DeSaavedra, 94 of Stockport, died on Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016 at his residence. He was born on Dec. 30, 1921 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Garcia and Mary Schwiegert DeSaavedra. He worked as a farmer and also bought and sold house trailers, airplanes and cars. He is survived by 4 sons, John DeSaavedra of Pataskala, Joseph DeSaavedra of Fairmount, Ga, Michael DeSaavedra of Pataskala and David DeSaavedra of Stockport, 3 daughters, Mary McCoy of Portland Or, Alice Keys of Santa Cruz, Ca, and Elizabeth Romine of Stockport and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Helen Irene DeSaavedra. A caring cremation is taking place at his wish.
