John Richard Hreha Sr, 71, of McConnelsville, passed away on Fri, April 28, 2023 at his residence.  He was born on March 4, 1952 in Steubenville, Ohio to the late Joseph and Judith Morris Hreha.  He worked out of the Operators Union Local #18 in Columbus and was a member of the Clemente Amitie Masonic Lodge # 285 in Reinersville.  He is survived by 4 sons, Joe (Lela) Hreha of Hopewell, John (Jen) Hreha of Dresden, Rich (Kim) Hreha of McConnelsville and Mike (Wendy) Hreha of Malta, a daughter, Jada (Mike) Rittenhouse of Stockport, a brother, Michael Hreha of Columbus, a sister, Jane Hreha Jones of Zanesville and 7 grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Rita (Dove) Winebrenner Hreha, a brother, Joseph Hreha and a sister, Janet Titus.  A caring cremation is taking place at his request.  A private burial will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Genesis Hospice in Zanesville.  Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville his handling the arrangements.  To send a note of condolence to the family go to www.matheneyfh.com.
