John Myron Leonard, 85, of Malta passed away on Weds, July 30, 2025 at his residence.  He was born on May 12, 1940 in Stockport, Ohio to the late John A. and Eva Harper Leonard.  He served his country in the U.S. Army and retired from Gould Inc. in McConnelsville.  He attended the Deerfield Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Morgan Co. Coon Hunters Assc. and the Lakeside Riders Club.  He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rose Ann Eisenman Leonard of the home, 2 sons, David (Carrie) Leonard of Malta and Tony (Leslie) Leonard of Nashport, 3 daughters, Stacey (David) Rowland of Stockport, Chris (Scott) Tredway of McConnelsville and Kathy (Martin) Young of Cambridge, a sister, Collen Price of Frankfort, In, 4 grandchildren, Trista (Randy) Nelson, Tanner Tredway, Sierra (Jack) Pate and John (Marlee) Leonard and 3 great grandchildren, Trayton and Ryder Nelson and Brynlee Tredway.  He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Maxine Brown.  Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville is handling a caring cremation for the family.
