John E. Milligan, 74 of Pennsville formerly of Sunbury, died on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at the Genesis Morrison House Hospice in Zanesville. He was born on February 27, 1938 in Crooksville, Ohio to the late Cyril and Georgiana Densmore Milligan and was raised by his grandparents James and Anna Densmore from the time he was 10. He was an Electrician for Anheuser Busch in Columbus. He served his country by spending four years in the U.S. Marine Corps serving in the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was a member of the Roseville Lutheran Church and was comforted to the end by pastor Alex Brown. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Brenda Sparks Milligan of Pennsville, one half sister, Susan (Delvin) Doup of Wakeman, Ohio, brother in law, Bob (Julie) Davis of Philo and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Patricia Davis Price. No services will be observed at Johns request a caring cremation is taking place. Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville is handling the arrangements.
