John D. Priest, 52, of Stockport passed away Friday, July 22,2016 at his home. He was born January 14, 1964 in Newark. John was a H.U.D. housing inspector for Washington-Morgan County Community Action. He is survived by his wife and partner of 15 years Shannon Lobaugh Priest, his mother Dorothy Holtz Porterfield and stepfather Dan Porterfield both of Newark, a daughter Chelsea Schoolcraft of Newark, 2 sons John D. "J.D." Priest, Jr. of Newark and Connor Schoolcraft of Stockport, a sister Demetra Ford of Newark, 4 brothers Kenny, Stanley, Jr., and Stephen Priest all of Newark, 6 grandchildren Mylee, Lyric, Zey, Raiden, Attikin and Azriel. He was preceded in death by his father Lee Priest and 2 brothers Josh and William Priest. At his request a cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
