John C. Staley, 75 of McConnelsville, died on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012 at 4:45 A.M. at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on Nov. 14, 1936 in Johnsville, Ohio to the late Milton C. and Laura Ziegler Staley. He was the CEO of Citizens Bank Company and Muskingum Valley Bank Shares in Beverly, Ohio. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and was of the Church of Christ faith. He is survived by his wife, Esperanza "Hope" Delgado Staley of the home, a daughter, Theresa Staley Vaughn of McConnelsville, brother, Jerry C. Staley of Utica, sister, Mary (Mark) Darling of New Albany, grandchildren, Devan and Peyton Vaughn, brother-in-law, Joseph (Rita) Delgado of Sacramento, Cal., sister-in-law, Socorro (Felix) Luna of Chandler, AZ., and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Kenneth Staley and a nephew. There will be a private family service at the Meigsville Cemetery and a memorial service will be held at a later date and time.
