John Junior Tate, 90 of Plantsville, passed away on Weds, June 26, 2024 in Marietta, Ohio.  He was born on Aug. 15, 1933 in Plantsville, to the late John and Bernice Smith Tate.  He worked for 47 ½ years at MIBA in McConnelsville.  He was a member of the Bethel Wesleyan Church in Plantsville and coached youth league baseball teams in Plantsville for over 40 years.  He is survived by 2 sons, Stacey (Jessica) Tate of Little Hocking and Chad Tate of Cutler and 6 grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Barbara Walton Tate, daughter, Jill Tate, a brother Howard Tate, 4 sisters, Eloise Mayle, Lorena Newsome, Glenna Kennedy and Freda Thompson and 2 half sisters, Marie Hill and Dorothy Cook.  Services will be held on Mon, July 1, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at the Bethel Wesleyan Church in Plantsville with burial following at the Mt.
