Jonas J. Miller, 76, of 4360 St. Rt. 37 Malta passed away Thursday February 17, 2011 at his home. He was born November 15, 1934 in Holmes County to the late John Miller and Lizzie Hershberger Miller.

He was the owner of Miller & Sons Construction Com. of Malta for many years. Jonas was a member of the Ebenezer Mennonite Church where he served as the minister for 24 years.

He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Bena Miller; three daughters, Wanda (Jonas) Beiler of Kenya, Africa, Rosetta (Martin) Barkman of McConnelsville, Doretta (Steve) Goins of McConnelsville; two sons, John Andrew (Irene) Miller and Titus (Freda) Miller, both of Malta; a sister, Edna Erb of Sugarcreek; three brothers, Monroe and Henry Miller both of Sugarcreek, Noah Miller of Baltic; 23 grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and three step great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceeded in death by a sister, Mattie Beachy; a brother, Emery Miller; and a granddaughter, Judith Beiler.

Calling hours will be Sunday February 20, 2011 from 1:00-4:00 & 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the Ebenezer Mennonite Church near Malta where funeral services will be Monday February 21,2011 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor La Verne Yoder officiating.
