Obituary

Jonathan Francis King, age 35, died at Morrison House (Genesis Hospice and Palliative Care Center) on Friday, October 31, 2014 with family at his side. Many years of living with end stage renal disease have finally ended and he is at peace. Jon was born July 2, 1979 to Anthony (Tony) and Penelope (Penny) Graham King of McConnelsville. He is survived by his best friend and sister, Lesley (Dusty) Campbell, beloved nieces and nephews Austin, Brooklyn, Chloe and Kyle Campbell, grandmother Connie Graham, aunt Nancy Graham (his second mother), and many more aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Jon was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Frank and Dorothy King, maternal grandfather Bob Graham and loyal canine companion, Kane. How to encapsulate a life in just a few sentences? Impossible. But he would want to be remembered as loving his family above all else except his God, as someone who loved to make people smile and laugh, and as someone who loved and respected the great outdoors. His calendar ran on what hunting season was "in", not by months or days. He loved spending time in the woods, whether hunting or just relaxing. (His family would like to invite his community of family and friends to join them in honoring his memory by planting a tree - any tree, any location.) He also loved fishing and is leaving behind many trophies from his outdoor activities. Calling hours will be observed on Monday, November 3 from 2-4 and 6-8 at Miller Huck Funeral Home. Services will be held Tuesday, November 4 at 11 a.m. at Malta Bible Church (with calling hours one hour prior) and his 'home' church, the church he grew up in, Malta United Methodist Church will be hosting his celebration meal directly following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to MoCo Team Blue, % Ginny's Flower Shoppe, 62 East Main Street, McConnelsville, Ohio, 43756.
