Joseph C. Barkhurst, 64, of McConnelsville, died on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at his residence. He was born on July 13, 1951 in Galion, Ohio to the late Donald G. and Janet C. Rathert Barkhurst. He was a retired Musician. He is survived by a special friend, Karen McKitrick of the home, 2 daughters, Elizabeth (Ed) Adams of Jonesboro, Ind. And Kim (Phil) Osborne of Columbus, Ohio, 1 brother, Jon Barkhurst of Reinersville, Ohio and 5 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, 1 granddaughter and a sister, Donna Jean Beharry. A visitation will be held on Monday, July 18, 2016 from 12-1 P.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville.
