Judie Simmons, 73, of Chesterhill, died on Sunday, January 22, 2012 at 12:55 P.M. at the Highland Oaks Nursing Home in McConnelsville, Ohio. She was born on August 10, 1938 in Chesterhill, Ohio to the late Murray and Donna Davis Carr and spent her life as a homemaker taking care of her family. She was a member of the Chesterhill Nazarene Church. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Charles Simmons, 2 sons, Denny (Pam) Simmons of Chesterhill, and Donny (Tami) Simmons of Mt. Sterling, 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, and 1 brother, Danny Carr. Services will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill with Pastor David Jarvis officiating. Burial will follow in the Chesterhill Cemetery. Friends may call on the family on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M.
