Judy Joan Burkhart, 63, of Malta, died Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at 12:55 A.M. at the Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born on June 10, 1947 in Marietta, Ohio to the late George and Josephine Knotts Burkhart. She attended the Mary Hammond School in McConnelsville. She is survived by three brothers, Bud Burkhart of Malta, Raymond Burkhart of Galena, Missouri, and Jerry Burkhart of Gahanna, two sisters, Betty Wise of McConnelsville, and Mary Matheney of McConnelsville, and one half sister, Ruby Lawson of Alabama. She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Margaret Abel, one half brother, Thomas Amos, and one half sister Mabel Miller. A caring cremation is taking place at the families request. Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville is handling the arrangements.
