Karen S. Parmiter 75, of McConnelsville, passed away at 3:45 a.m. November 15, 2018 in Harlingen, Texas. She was born September 24, 1943 in Zanesville the daughter of the late Harold Mizer and Beatrice Drake. She enjoyed traveling and camping in all 48 of the United States, and was a member of Pioneer Sams Camping Club.  She is survived by her husband, Don F. Parmiter whom she married August 14, 1981; step children, Charles (Tina) Parmiter, Richard Parmiter, Cindy (Dennis) Poppe, Kimberly (Kenny Dingey) Dellamaggiore, and Jeffrey (Michelle) Parmiter; fourteen step grandchildren; and seventeen  step great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Edward Miedel and an infant daughter. Friends may call 4 to 7 p.m.  Monday, November 19, 2018 at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville where services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday with Pastor Galen Finley officiating. She will be laid to rest in Malta Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Arthritis Foundation.
