Karla Holland Wise, 61, of Malta passed away at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, June 26, 2016 at the Marietta Memorial Hospital in Marietta. She was born August 26, 1954 in Marietta to the late Hubert C. Holland and Jacqueline Gerber Holland. Karla was a stay at home mother and was a member of the Malta United Methodist Church. She also was a member of the Jesus Girls Bible Study Group. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Joe Wise; two sons, Joshua (Daphne) Wise of Columbus and Samuel Wise of Malta; two sisters, Dee (John) Craig and Lennie Cutsumbis both of Marietta; two sister-in-laws, Doddi (Tom) Jones of Waterford and Heidi (Kenny) Parsons of McConnelsville, and a mother-in law, Betty (Popeye) McMannis. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Jessie Carl Wise and a niece, Jolene Craig. Calling hours will be Friday, July 1, 2016 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the Malta United Methodist Church in Malta where a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Galen Finley officiating. At her request a cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions may be made to the Strecker Cancer Center at the Marietta Memorial Hospital.
