Karlen Graham Cooper, 81 of McConnelsville Ohio passed away peacefully Wednesday April 15, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 15, 1944 in Marietta, Ohio to the late Alva Graham Cooper and Thelma (Pernell) Cooper. Karlen married Tina (Westfall) Cooper on April 12, 2014. He was retired from The Ohio Power Company (AEP) after 431/2 years and enjoyed fishing and farming. He was a member of the Cornerstone South Family Life Church where he met Tina. He believed in his faith and is finally at home where he can rest for eternity. Karlen will be missed by his children, Tori (Bill) Gable of McConnelsville, Staci (Rhett) Matheney of McConnelsville, Chad (Tracey) Cooper of Malta, Demetria (Joshua) Kasun of Malta, and Makayla (Austin) Campbell of Cambridge. Grandchildren and great grandchildren, Ashlie (Clint) Adkins, Isbelle and Cameron Adkins, Zachery (Whitney) Bolyard, Zooey, Sonny, Jet, Lola and Winter Bolyard, Alex Allen, Hayden (Bridget) Matheney, Lillian (Braydon) Hoskinson, Drew Hoskinson, Ethan Cooper, Kelton Cooper, Liam and Bella Kasun and Emerson Campbell. In addition to his parents he proceeded in death by his sister Jeanne and brother-in-law Paul Morton and his grandson Austin Matheney. Services will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at the Cornerstone South Family Life Church in McConnelsville with burial following at the Wiseman Cemetery. Friends may call on the family on Sat, April 18 from 4-6 P.M. at the Church. Matheney Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cornerstone Church.
