Kash A. Jewell, 87, of Newark formerly of McConnelsville, passed away on Mon, Sept. 5, 2022 at the Licking County Memorial Hospital in Newark.  He was born in Frenchburg, Ky on May 10, 1935 to the late Herbert and Aileen Sons Jewell.  He retired from the Central Ohio Coal Company.  He was a 37-year member of the Valley Masonic Lodge #145 in Malta, a member of the McConnelsville Eagles # 187 and Morgan County Shrine Club.  He was an avid outdoorsman loving to hunt, trap and fish.  He is survived by 3 daughters, Debra (Gerald) Tomplait of Nashport, Kristie (Roger) Reed of Waterford and Kellie Jewell of Senatobia, Ms, 2 brothers, Carlos Jewell of Miamisburg and David Jewell of Kettering, a sister, Trudy Jewell Webb of Carlisle, 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Wife, Carolyn Sue Wood Jewell, a son Terry Jewell and a brother Bob Jewell.  A masonic service will be held on Sun, Sept 11, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville.  Friends may call on the family 1hour prior to the services.  To send a note of condolence to the family go to www.matheneyfh.com.
