Kay Burt, 72 of Stockport, died Monday, August 1, 2011 at 12:20 A.M. at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born on August 26, 1938 in Waterford, Ohio to the late Fredrick "Donald" and Rose Cody Ruble. She retired after 40 years of service from the Marietta Memorial Hospital where she was a lab technician and received the Fenton Award for her dedication. She also worked in the family business. She is survived by her husband, Dwight Burt of Stockport, 2 sons, David (Merrilee) Burt of Waterford, and Dana (Carolyn) Burt of Stockport, 2 daughters, April (Gary) Coleman and Dianna (Bobby) Beck both of Stockport, 1 brother, Kim Ruble of Utah, 2 sisters, Karen Ruble of Waterford and Sheryne Merkel of Xenia, 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, Aunt Sara Best and uncle John Cody. She is preceded in death by her parents. The family wishes to express our sincere gratitude to Tanya (Baker) Mayle and Kim Wardrip for their wonderful car of Kay. Services will be held on Friday, August 5, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill with Pastor Charles Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in the Bartlett Cemetery.
