L. Keith Hallowell, 75, of Norwich, passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at the Genesis Hospital in Zanesville. He was born on March 30, 1943 in Chesterhill, Ohio to the late Dennis and Iva McElfresh Hallowell. He worked as an Operator for the Ohio Operating Engineers Local #18 and was a Vietnam Marine Veteran. He was a member of the Claysville United Methodist Church and the Ohio Good Sam Camping Club. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Paula Porter Hallowell of the home, 2 sons, Dennis (Katharine) Hallowell of Norwich and Ron (Angie) Hallowell of Norwich, 1 step-son, Troy (Heather) Garber of Philo, 2 daughters, Yolanda (Keith) Taylor of New Concord and Janelle (Lester) Lashley of Norwich, 3 step-daughters, Tammy (Pete) Geyer of Norwick, Tracy (Bill) Garber of Zanesville, Tina (Steve) Rider of Zanesville, 2 brothers, Glenn Hallowell of Zanesville and Dale Hallowell of Bay City, Michigan, 2 sisters, Norma Rumberger of Navarre and Elma Stirgwolt of Clear Water Florida, 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents, 1st wife, Dixie Clester Hallowell a brother Charles Hallowell and 2 sisters, Delores Strode and Mae Benjamin. Visitation will held on Saturday, June 9, 2018 from 11-1 P.M. at the New Concord United Methodist Church in New Concord, Ohio with a service following at 1:00 P.M. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at the Mt. Hermon Cemetery near Amesville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Keith's name to your local VFW.
