View a Video Memorial With a heavy heart we say good-bye to Larry Dean Gilbreath, 64 of Stockport, who went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 8:09 P.M. at the Cleveland Clinic. He was born in Morgan County on August 5, 1947 to the late Hatti Mae Henry Gilbreath Riley. He was a welder for AEP at the Muskingum River Plant. He was an active member of the Neelyville Church of Christ being a former Deacon, Elder, Teacher, Counselor, and Friend. He also served his country in the Vietnam War. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather and enjoyed many activities with his family such as camping, fishing, hunting, gardening, and attending many of his grandchildren's activities. He is survived by his loving wife and soul mate of 45 years Judith Elaine Dovenbarger Gilbreath, 3 daughters, Annette (Rusty) Reed, Alynn (John) Clemens, and Angie (David) Sebring all of Morgan County, 3 brothers, David Gilbreath of Mt. Vernon, Carlos (Cheryl) Riley of Rushville and Mike (Penny) Riley of Lancaster, 1 sister, Maxine Taylor of Malta, 8 grandchildren, Alia (Billy) White, Kelsie, Eric, and Adam Reed, Alisa, and Austin Clemens, and Alexandra and Brandon Sebring, 1 great grand daughter, Keianna Caplinger and several nieces and nephews. His mother precedes him in death. Services will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the Neelyville Church of Christ with Evang. Art Decker officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery with military honors. Friends may call on the family on Monday, March 12, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Ohio Valley Christian Assembly Youth Camp, P.O. Box 548 Pomeroy, Ohio 45769. Larry will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
