Larry D. Johnson, 64, of Stockport passed away at 8:22 a.m. Saturday, August 1, 2015 at his home. He was born July 1, 1951 in Zanesville to the late Chester Forrest Johnson and Bernice Newsom Johnson.

Larry worked for 30 years at the former Malta Manufacturing Com. and for 10 years at the McConnelsville Eagles Club where he was a bartender and trustee. He was also an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his wife of 16 years Deborah Grubb Johnson; a daughter Christy Johnson of Heath; two sons Larry Dean Knox of Indiana and Trent Lee Johnson of Marietta; a brother Jerry (Margaret) Johnson of McConnelsville; a stepdaughter Caroljean Greenlee of Akron; a grandson Eli Johnson, a step grandson Daniel Johnson and three step granddaughters Heather, Jordon, and Jessie Osborne; three step great grandchildren McKenna and Vivianna Osborne and Malynn Green; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his former wife Mona Jane Johnson; and a sister Janet Ponchak.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, August 4, 2015 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville with an Eagles service at 8 p.m. A funeral service will be Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at 11;00 a,m. at the funeral home with Pastor Galen Finley officiating. Larry will be laid to rest in McConnelsville Cemetery. Military services will be provided by the American Legion Post # 24 Honor Guard.
