Lawrence Gerald Martin, 64, of Pennsville, died Friday, March 27, 2009, at his residence.

He was born June 19, 1944, in Meadville, PA, to Leslie Gerald Martin and Vivian Esther Hampton Martin.

Mr. Martin recently retired and relocated from Meadville to Pennsville, OH. He graduated from Meadville High School in 1962 and loved his Harley, his dogs, and his grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his widow, Cheryl L. Rosenburg, whom he married May 8, 2004; his children, Julie Lynne Martin, Beth Ann "Buffy" Nasby and Brian Steve Martin, all of California; three step-children, Eric Guy Damore, Hope Marie Jones and Jodi Sue Damore, all of the Youngstown area; his grandchildren, Jordan E. Jones, Ryan H. Jones, Aidyn R. Jones, Owen D. Jones, Leah M. Evick, Logan P. Evick, Liveah S. Evick, and Nathan Damore, all of the Youngstown area; and his adored nephew, Jeff McMullen of Palestine, WV.

He is also survived by two sisters, Sandra L. (Don) Campbell of North Jackson and Kay E. (Roger) Patterson of Stoneboro, PA; one brother, C. Bruce (Diane) Martin of Palestine, WV; and 15 nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Izabella Lynne Damore.

At his request, a private memorial service for family members will be held in celebration of his life at a later date.
