Lee B. Jobes, 89, of Pataskala, passed away on Thurs, Aug. 15, 2024 at his residence.  He was born on Feb. 23, 1935 in Roxbury, Ohio to the late Alonzo and Bertha Matthews Jobes.  He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 38 years where he served in the Korean Conflict.  He was a member of the Bartlett Masonic Lodge and the American Legion Post # 389 in Beverly.  He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Gloria Hays Jobes of the home, 3 daughters, Kimberly Agler of Grove City, Lisa Jobes of Columbus and Jennifer McCord of Fort Mill SC, a sister Dolly Stokley of New Albany, 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Lee Jobes, 3 brothers, Franklin, Mervin and Cy Jobes, 4 sisters, Fannie Woodford, Sarah Atkinson, Bernice Mattis and Bonnie Eish.  A visitation will be held on Weds, Aug. 21 2024 from 11-12 P.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville followed by a graveside service in the Dale Cemetery at 1:00 P.M.  To send a note of condolence to the family go to www.matheneyfh.com.
