Leona F. Hanning, 83, of Chesterhill, died on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at 3:45 P.M. at the Highland Oaks Nursing Home In McConnelsville. She was born on June 19, 1928 in Amesville, Ohio to the late Harley D. and Murriel Lewis Zarley. She was a homemaker, a Methodist by faith, enjoyed gardening, sowing, crocheting and loved to fish. She is survived by her husband, Herby Herbert Hanning of the home, 1 son, Gene (Kathy) Hanning of Zanesville, 2 grandchildren, Jennifer Hanning of Zanesville and Stacy (Jessica) Hanning of Zanesville and 3 great grandchildren, Nichole, Aubrey and Beranda. She is preceded in death by her parents. Services will be held on Friday, March 23, 2012 at 1 :00 P.M. at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill with Pastor Charles Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hermon Cemetery. Friends may call on the family at the funeral home on Thursday, March 22, from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M.
