Leonard D. Hill, 79 of Cutler, died on Friday, January 20, 2012 at 5:30 A.M. at the Riverside Hospital in Columbus. He was born on August 14, 1932 in Cutler, Ohio to the late Harry and Dorothy Mayle Hill. He retired from Shelly and Sands in Zanesville after 50 years. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Vera Mayle Hill, 1 son, Christopher Hill of Chesterhill, 1 daughter, Lillie "Sissy" Singer of Cutler, 4 sisters, Loretta Stevens of Cambridge, Juanita Jackson of Amesville, Garnet Jordan of Zanesville, and Bernice Fisher of Zanesville, 6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, 1 son Brian, 3 brothers, Donald, Delbert and Onie Hill, and 2 sisters, Delma Starks and Naomi Hill. Service will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at 1:30 P.M. at the Southland Mission Church near Cutler with Rev. Charles Buck officiating. Friends may call on the family on Monday, January 23, from 5-8 P.M. at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill and 1 hour prior to the services at the church.
