Lester Clair Coe, age 89, of Millersport, Ohio, formerly of Bartlett, Ohio, passed away at the home of his daughter, Margaret, at 6:05 p.m. on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 following an extended illness. Born on February 16, 1922, in Elizabeth, West Virginia, the son of the late Thomas J. and Blanche Cline Coe, he was a retired farmer, a truck driver for Wesley Township and Ford Brothers Trucking, a bus driver for Bartlett Elementary School, and Chairman of ASCS. He attended the Non Denominational Christian Church, and was a WW11 Army Air Corps Veteran. Surviving are 2 daughters: Margaret(Jim)Buckholz of Millersport, and Phyllis(Patrick)Furey of Columbus; 2 grandchildren: Amy Jo and James Thomas Buckholz , 1 great grandchild: James Abbott, and several nieces and nephews. Les was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Georgia Anna Dilts Coe. Services will be held on Friday, August 19, 2011 at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill, Ohio at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor John Wilbur officiating. Burial will be in the Chesterhill Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 18, at the funeral home.
