Lisa M. Smedley, 54, of Chesterhill, passed away on Sun, Aug. 24, 2025 at the Highland Oaks Nursing Home in McConnelsville.  She was born on Dec. 30, 1970 in Marietta to Timothy and Kathy Eing Smedley.  She worked as a nurse in health care facility's around south east Ohio and was member and squad captain of the Chesterhill Vol. Fire Dept.  She also enjoyed going to the dirt track races.  She is survived by her parents, Tim and Kathy Smedley of Chesterhill, a daughter, Kayleigh (Michael Mayle) Coler of Chesterhill, a sister, Julia (Brian) Garber of Chesterhill, 2 nieces, Adrienne Garber and Airman 1st Class Autumn Garber, a nephew, Jude Garber, 3 aunts, Scarlett Dorris, Janie Totman, and Donna Horton and several cousins and friends.  She is preceded in death by her husband Charles Bailey.  Services will be held on Thurs, Aug. 28, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill with burial following in the Chesterhill Cemetery.  Friends may call on the family on Weds, Aug. 27 from 5-7 P.M.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Chesterhill Vol. Fire Dept.  The family would like to thank Shrivers Hospice, Highland Oaks, Don H. and Rachel S. for all their excellent care.
