Obituary

Lois Jean Smith, 86, of McConnelsville, passed away at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, November 1, 2015 at the Highland Oaks Health Center in McConnelsville.

She was born February 1, 1929 in Mountville, Ohio to the late Roy Trainer and Frances Triplitt Trainer. She was a housewife and homemaker and was a member of the Seventh Street Church of Christ in McConnelsville. Jean loved to quilt and crochet.

She is survived by two daughters, Deb Weaver of Stockport and Kathy Allen of Yuma, AZ; four sons, Ron Smith of McConnelsville, Michael Smith of Philo, Kevin Smith of McConnelsville, and Craig Smith of Logan; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild; also surviving are four brothers, Richard Trainer of Georgia, Donald Trainer of Zanesville, George Trainer of Alexzandria and Gary Trainer of Colorado Springs, CO.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Smith; a sister, Elizabeth Jane Trainer; two brothers, Charles and Russel Trainer; and a granddaughter.

Calling hours will be Friday, November 6, 2015 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at the Seventh Street Church of Christ in McConnelsville where funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. with Evangelists Sam Bartrug and Randy Baker officiating. Jean will be laid to rest beside her husband Harold in Zion Cemetery in Portersville. Miller-Huck Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
