Lovell Leroy Hite, 72, of McConnelsville, died Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 12:00 P.M. at the Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville. He was born in Portland Ohio On February 18, 1938 to the late Rufus and Ethel Baker Hite. He was a self-employed logger owning and operating Hite Logging in Malta and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2187 in McConnelsville. He is survived by his son Rick Hite of Zanesville, one Brother, Earl Hite of McConnelsville, three sisters, Audis Herdman of Columbus, Loretta Hite of McConnelsville, and Jessie Zaringo of North Canton, three grandchildren, one great grandchild, and his best friend Molly Cook of Crooksville. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Carson, four stepbrothers, Robert, Edward, James, and John, two sisters, Betty and Shirley. Services will be held on Monday, January 10, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville with Pastor Galen Finley officiating. Burial will follow at the Deerfield Cemetery. Friends may call on the family on Sunday, January 9, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M.
