Lucille Patterson, 95, of Stockport, died on Sunday, June 5, 2011 at 6:50 A.M. at the Forest view Health Campus in Zanesville. She was born on June 11, 1915 in Stockport, Ohio to the late Jerome and Blanche Smith Simpson. She graduated from Windsor High School in the class of 1933. Lucille was married to Harold Jay Patterson who died in 1960. She lived her entire life in Morgan County working as a cook at Windsor and Morgan High Schools and she retired from Malta Manufacturing. She was a member of the Mt. Olivet Community Church in Stockport, the East Windsor Farmerette Club, the Stockport Senior Citizens, and a lifetime member of the Ohio State Grange. She enjoyed attending church, gardening, playing bingo, and before being limited by deteriorating eyesight was an accomplished seamstress. She is survived by her son, Ron (Twila) Patterson of Zanesville, eight grandchildren, three step grandchildren, several great and great great grandchildren, and two sister-in-laws. She is preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Kaye Bartlett, two sisters, Bertha Bowler and Mary Jane Newton, and four brother-in-laws. Services will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville with Pastor Jamie White officiating. Burial will follow in the Stockport Cemetery. Friends may call on the family on Saturday, June 11, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Mt.
