Lucina D. Watts 96, of 2643 E. Hooppole Ridge Rd. McConnelsville , passed away at 6:10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, 2012 at Highland Oaks Health Center in McConnelsville. She was born November 5, 1915 in Muskingum County the daughter of the late Richard Apperson and Della Demster Apperson. She was a housewife and helped on the farm with her husband. She was a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church , an avid baker and quilter and enjoyed visiting with the neighbors. She is survived by one daughter Betty (Doug) Payne of Bay City, Michigan; nine grandchildren Shell Payne,Kevin (Melissa) Payne, Brad (Sarah) Payne, Rena Jo (Christopher) Posey , Yolanda Moore,Dawn Ann Campbell,Pam (Mike) Muetzel, Galen (Shannon) Durose and Jason (Mandy) Durose; nineteen great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Elvan Watts who died in 2005; one daughter, Dickie Durose; two sisters, Alma Apperson and Fawn Gander; five brothers, Wayne,Ivan,Hershal, Kenneth and Dice Apperson.Calling hours will be held from 2to4 and 6 to 8p.m. Monday, October 1, 2012 at the Miller-Huck Funeral home in McConnelsville ,where services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday with Russ Harper officiating.
