Obituary

Mabel W. Frash, 86 of Pennsville, died on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at 11:05 A.M. at the Riverside Country Care Center in McConnelsville surrounded by her family. She was born on January 31, 1926 in Sharpsburg, Ohio to the late Edward and Martha Hanson Thompson. She worked as a nursing aid at the Mark Rest Center in McConnelsville for over 25 years. She was a member of the Mt. Carmel United Brethren Church in Sharpsburg and the Bethel Wesleyan Church in Plantsville after Mt. Carmel Closed. She is survived by 2 sons, Gene (Betsy) Frash of McConnelsville and Kenneth (Susan) Frash of Gallipolis, 3 daughters, Wilma (Clarence Sr.) Lamp of Norwich, Dixie (Randy) Shinn of Nashport, and Mary Webb of Malta, 2 sisters, Gladys Reeves of Grove City, and Elsie Donnely of Pennsville, 14 grandchildren, one of whom she helped raise Mark J.Frash, 24 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Rev. Wilford Frash (1996), 1 son, Mark Frash (Father of Mark J. Frash), 4 brothers, George, Roger, Larry and Gene Thompson, 1 sister, Mary Lou Singer and 3 granddaughters, Angie, Susan and Brandy, 1, Grandson Jason and 1 great granddaughter, Celsey. Services will be held on Friday, April 27, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill with Pastor James Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the Pennsville Cemetery. Friends may call on the family one hour prior to the services on the day of the funeral.
