Marceline M. Kelley, 83, of 348 Oakwood Drive, McConnelsville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012 at the Highland Oaks Health Center in McConnelsville, surrounded by her loving six daughters.

She was born on February 25, 1929, in Frazeysburg, the daughter of the late Merle Baker and Ruth Fisher Baker.

Marceline was a long standing member of Trinity United Methodist Church in McConnelsville. Her passion was music and children. She was actively involved in the United Methodist Women's group and served in many leadership positions. Marceline retired from the Morgan Local School System, initially working as secretary to the superintendent and later transferring to the Treasurer's Office, retiring in 1994.

She is survived by six daughters: Karen (Harry) Morgan of Georgetown, KY, Becky (Roger) Hooper of McConnelsville, Beth (Danny) Benjamin of Malta, Debbie (Dave) Smith of McConnelsville, Kim (Mike) Reed of McConnelsville, and Jill (Jeff) King of Columbus; 13 grandchildren: Chris (Clarice) Morgan of Georgetown, KY, Joe (Megan) Morgan of Lexington, KY; Kelley (Joe) Moore of McConnelsville; Matt (Ali) Hooper of Dublin; Heidi Benjamin of Malta; David J. Hoskinson (Debbie Sorensen) of Zanesville; Amy (Rob) Nichols of Malta; John M. (Sherry) Hoskinson of Canal Winchester; James (Angie) Hoskinson of McConnelsville; Sarah (Trevor) Kenney of Malta; Tiffany Reed of Westerville; Staci (Steve) Kirk of Westerville; Adam Reed of Dublin; Ashley and Megan King of Columbus; 20 great-grandchildren: Gabriel and Adelaide Morgan of Georgetown, KY; Henry, Harper and Greta Hooper of Dublin; Gage and Haley Benjamin of Malta; Jacob and Hannah Hoskinson of Zanesville; Kara and Kelley Nichols of Malta; Natasha , Haley, Kendra, and Aiden Hoskinson of Canal Winchester; Braydon, Cameron and Adisyn Hoskinson of McConnelsville; and Dakota and Emma Kenney of Malta.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Kelley, who passed away on January 19, 1976. They were high school sweethearts and were married for 27 years. Two brothers also preceded Marceline in death, Marvin Baker of Newark and Loren Baker of McConnelsville.

Following her wishes, she was cremated and a celebration of Marceline's life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012 in the Trinity United Methodist Church in McConnelsville with Pastor Walter Jones officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment of her ashes will be in Malta Cemetery at a later date.
