Margaret Joan Davis, 82, of East Sparta, OH, passed away at 5:50 a.m. Sunday, May 29, 2016, at the Riverside Landing Nursing and Rehab Center, in McConnelsville. She was born Oct. 26, 1933, in Morgan County, to the late Bernard Knox and Christine Best Knox. She was a human resource and payroll worker for Superior Dairy, of Canton, for 25 years. Margaret loved fishing, playing the piano and all Cleveland sports teams. She played the piano at the Sword of the Spirit Faith Center Church. She is survived by a daughter, Melissa (Brock) Trimmer of Canton; three sons, Richard Alan Davis of Houston, TX, Paul Roger (Jacqulyn) Davis of Canton, and Jeffery Michael Davis of East Sparta; six grandchildren; one step-grandchild; one great-grandchild; three sisters, Eileen Ralston of New Lexington, Mary Ellen (Dille) Fleming of McConnelsville, and Bernita (Robert) Wright of Pennsville. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Richard B. Davis; a son, Ronald L. Davis; a sister, Donna Sands; and a brother, Ronald Knox. At her request, no services will be held and a cremation will take place.
