Margaret O. McCormick 99, of Clay Gardens Place, Zanesville formerly of McConnelsville passed away at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2022 at Clay Gardens. She was born May 18, 1923 in Morgan County, Ohio to the late, Leroy Muse Olney and Florence Dixon Olney. She married Gene McCormick on June 18, 1945. Margaret graduated from Beverly High School and Ohio University. She taught in the Morgan County School System for 30 plus years. She was a member of the McKendree United Methodist Church where she was church organist for many years, McKendree UMW, Study Club, and the Morgan County Ladies Golf League. She is survived by her children, Richard (Nancy) McCormick of Aiken, SC, Jane (Butch) Brown of Zanesville; her grandchildren, Bart (Sheri) Brown, Josh(Lisa) Brown, Andy (Jaren) McCormick and Clare Ann  (Jacob) Linder; nine great grandchildren, Taylor, Sierra, Hudson, Rogan, Liam, Troy, Morgan, Taylor, Carter, and her grand dog, Teddy Mac. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and an infant brother. Friends may call 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2022 at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville where services will follow at 1:30 p.m. with  Pastor Lee Ann Dunlap officiating.
