Mark E. "Shorty" Anderson, 53, of 3520 True Avenue, McConnelsville, passed away at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, 2012 at his home.

He was born August 4, 1959 in Zanesville to James Leroy Anderson and Wanda Hunter Owens.

He was a Veteran of the Koren War and a former member of the Meigs Church Of Christ.

He is survived by his mother of McConnelsville; one son, Derrick Eugene Anderson of Alabama; three sisters, Peggy Gibeaut of Cambridge, Polly Stack of Cambridge and Juanita Ferguson of Corning; and one brother, Jimmy Junior Anderson of McConnelsville.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 14, at the Meigs Cemetery.

Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville is in charge of arrangements.
