Martha Eunice Dixon Ashton, 80, was called home to be with her Lord on Wednesday June 28 surrounded by her children and husband. Marti was born April 12, 1937. She is survived by Gordon her husband of 61 years, her children Eric (Erin) Ashton, Scot Ashton and Diana(Kevin) Scott. Her grandchildren are Kayla, Skyler and Adam Scott and Tali Blaha. Marti loved Jesus, poetry, fresh black coffee, daisies, violets,  anything lemon and cooking for her family. She was loving and kind, outgoing and of a generous spirit. She loved fiercely and unconditionally and never let a kind thing go unsaid. If you were fortunate enough to be loved by her, you were fortunate enough. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, July 1st from 11:30-1 at Miller Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville with a service directly following. She will be laid to rest in McConnelsville Cemetery.
