ZANESVILLE: Martha Ann (Mert) Mayle Kennedy, age 64, of Zanesville, Ohio, died at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday, October 8, 2009, at Morrison House Hospice in Zanesville. She was born on July 18, 1945 in Lathrope, Ohio, the daughter of Jeff Willard and Martha L. Mayle. A graduate of Ames-Bern High School, she worked at Gould in McConnelsville, Essex Wire in Zanesville, and was a wonderful homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Dennis D. Kennedy of the home; one sister, Mary Norman of McConnelsville; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Ronald and David Mayle. Services will be held on Monday, October 12, 2009, at Mt. Hermon Church near Amesville, at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. James Brown officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Hermon Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday, October 11, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Matheney Funeral Home in McConneslville, and one hour prior to services at the Church on Monday.
