Martha Joan Muse, 83, of Stockport, passed away on Tues. April 10, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born on Aug. 27, 1934 in Zanesville to the late Otto and Wava Riley Blake. She graduated as the class Valedictorian of 1952 Philo High School and played in the band. She was a homemaker and attended Smiths Chapel United Methodist Church near Hackney. She was a 4-H Advisor, Girl Scout Leader, Past Guardian of Jobs Daughters and a 50 year member and Secretary of Webb and Mt. Moriah OES # 506 as well as a past Matron, Deputy Grand Matron, District President and State President. She also enjoyed traveling in the Motor Home and spending time with all her family. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Don Muse, 1 son, D.J. (Kathy) Muse of Van Wert, 2 daughters, Luann (Neil) McKown of Hackney and Marla (Marshall) Reed of Stockport, 1 brother, Gene Blake of Philo, 6 grandchildren, Aimee (Bill) Francis, Molli (Donnie) Stephens, Megan (Brandon) Worley, Clint (Ashlie) Adkins, Morgan (Stephanie) Reed and Sarah (Evan) Bernick, 6 step-grandchildren, Stacy, Justin, Wess, Angie, John and Frank, 8 great grandchildren, Gracie Worley, Kylie Stephens, Ava Reed, Emme Stephens, Belle Adkins, Reagan Francis, Camron Adkins and Reed Worley and 12 step-great grandchildren, Shelby, Kelsey, Nava, Zoe, Jacob, Kieran, Jason, Rowan, Emma, Luka, Brice and Ellie. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Perry Blake. Services will be held on Sat. April 14, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville with Pastor Pam Lashley officiating. Burial will follow in the Stockport Cemetery. Visitation will be on Fri. April 13, from 3-7 P.M. with Eastern Star services following at 7:00 P.M.
