Marvin R. Miller, 66, of McConnelsville, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014, at Mt. Carmel East Hospital in Columbus.

He was born February 18, 1948, in Dover, IN to the late Frederick Miller and Ethel Arrowood Miller.

Marvin served his country as an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was wounded in action on March 21, 1969. He was a member on the VFW Post No. 4713 of Malta.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Lora Dille Miller; two sisters, Sandra (Hank) Banks of West Harrison, IN and Linda (Bill) Poindexter of Mt. Healthy; two brothers, Frederick (Judy) Miller of Lawrenceburg, IN and Dennis Miller of Gilford, IN. He is also survived and loved by his wife, Lora's sisters, brothers, and their families, and his beloved dog, Eddy.

* Calling hours will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. with Pastor Galen Finley officiating.

Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post No. 24 Color Guard.

After the services, cremation will take place.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post No. 24 in McConnelsville to help local veterans.
