Mary E. Burchett, of McConnelsville, 84, died on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 2:50 A.M. at the Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born on May 9, 1927 in Akron, Ohio to the late John and Mildred Norris Diefendorf. She was a homemaker and a Methodist by faith. She is survived by her husband, Carlos Burchett of McConnelsville, 1 daughter, Roberta "Bobbie" Fox of Lake Worth, Florida, 1 step-son, Chuck Burchett of Tennessee, 2 step-daughters, Carla Burchett of Ft. Lauderdale and Sue Miller of Tennessee, 3 sisters, June Sabo of Norton, Ohio, Naoma Lytle of Hartville, Ohio, and Jackie May of Akron, Ohio, 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Schultz, 1 son Gary Schultz. Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 2, 2012 at 12:30 P.M. at the Rose Hill Burial Park in Fairmont, Ohio. Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville is handling the arrangements.
