Mary Louise Carpenter, 85, of Chesterhill, passed away on Oct. 26, 2019 at the Highland Oaks Nursing home in McConnelsville. She was born on April 28, 1934 in Chesterhill to the late Milton "Pete" Wallace and Florence L. Vandyke Wallace. She worked for over 30 years at the Amesville restaurant and retired after 15 years from the Village of Chesterhill where she was the village Administrator. She is survived by her husband, Darrell E. "Sonny" Carpenter of the home, 3 sons, Ron Raines of Chesterhill, Allen Carpenter of Stockport and Darrin Carpenter of Stockport, a daughter, Katina Lescody of Chesterhill, 14 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, a son, Mark Raines, 4 brothers, Orton, Leonard, Vernet and John Wallace, 3 sisters, Garnet Calendine, Elizabeth Humphrey and Cora Belle Petti. Services will be held on Weds, Oct. 30, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill. Burial will follow in the Chesterhill Cemetery.
